May 10th: Red Deer and Carstairs

This weekend we're on another little jaunt around Alberta, tonight we stop in Red Deer at The HideOut and tomorrow in Carstairs at The Cafe Radio. Tomorrows show may be sold out but if you give the cafe a call they might be able to help you!

April 30th: 'London' wins the Calgary Folk Festival Songwriting Contest 'Pro's and Prose' Grand Prize! And we're on the road to Saskatchewan.

On Sunday we were lucky enough to win the 2013 Calgary Folk Festival Songwriting Contest Pro's and Prose category with our song 'London' from the new album Wait With Me. In a room filled with so many good friends and talent we were lost for words. Congrats to our friends Lucas Chaisson and John Wort Hannam Music and everyone who played, it was a glorious afternoon of music. Below is the winning tune, a little number about the relationship we all have with where we're from.

 

This weekend we're on the road to Saskatchewan with a show on Thursday 2nd May at The Exchange in Regina and Saturday 4th May at Vangelis in Saskatoon, read a little article in Verb magazine here about our trip.
